October 28 - National Law Enforcement Memorial
The wall behind Ken is engraved with the thousands of names of men and women that have died in the line of duty. The beautiful outdoor park is the location of a candle-light ceremony every May that honors the memory of those who have lost their lives.
We found the name of Ken's very dear friend, Ray Hawn, on the east wall, panel 56, line 4. On Sunday, October 29, we visited Arlington National Cemetery. The Tomb of the Unknown soldier and the many, many grave stones leave a profound and lasting memory.
