Fall 2017 Highlights

As we ventured south this fall of 2017 we made a decision!  When stopping in Reno for a few hours we took our $20 bill into the casino and guess what!  Ken got a Royal Flush.  (Okay...so it was on nickels...not much for the wallet!).

 Then shortly afterward...Joanne got 4 Aces!!!  (Okay...on a dime so not at all a big deal either).  Anyway...our decision after these two impressive hands...You'll not find us spending time in a casino during our future!  It is off the "bucket list"!

What is fun is spending time with friends and family along the route.  We were in Redlands, CA for more RV repairs and then ventured on south via daughter Mary and families home.  It just happened to be her birthday.  She was super surprised with the unexpected arrival of two of her dear friends from childhood.

Upon returning to Arizona City it is always fun to have new projects.  Ken started off by including some additional lighting under our pergola.  This really enhances evening socials and outside activities.

We are very blessed with many good friends in this area.  The Shorts held a Halloween Party at which we were invited to come in costume.  In case you can't tell, we were Under Cover Agents...a swat team!  (This included our fly swatters, Joanne's water squirt gun and Ken's foam pellet pistol!)  A delightful time was had by all.

Thanksgiving was celebrated early in the week when Mary and our grand kids came from CA for a few days.  Ken's sister and brother-in-law also joined us for an "early turkey dinner".

Here Mary is looking out for our health by encouraging us to take up "juicing".   She demonstrates how to make those healthy greens palatable by adding some fruits.  Let's just say "We are still in the learning process!"

Ken's sister and brother-in-law, the Prices, hosted a fun social gathering this week in celebration of Christmas in the Robson community just north of us.  There was a parade of golf carts and bicycles that were lit up for the evening festivities!
