June 2008 Family Events in Washington

Our June trip to Washington state started out as a visit with our children and grand children. It has turned out to be an extended trip as Ken's mother had emergency surgery and a significant recovery time in Bellingham. She is now recouping, and we anticipate she will be leaving the hospital for a rehab center soon.

In early June we spent three days in Prosser, WA. A highlight was a family picnic with Paul & Jon's families at our RV Park. The availability of a picnic area, swim pool, hot tub, and game room made this a great place to entertain the Parsons grand kids!

Daughter-in-law Stephanie and granddaughter Matti, our June birthday ladies, gave us another reason to celebrate together.

It is hard to believe that Shawn & Mary's baby Harlow is already a year old! Of course Grandma Joanne was over-joyed to spend a week in Seattle participating in the celebration. On her birthday morning, Harlow was all smiles with a present from her parents...a radio flyer sports car! It comes with a handle so Dad and Mom can push her, music from a little radio, turn signals, and the works. Harlow is delighted!

A birthday party with family and friends at an Italian restaurant was enjoyed by all. Harlow got good and gooey enjoying her first birthday cake!

Harlow's aunties, Melissa and Michelle, were all smiles as they gave lots of hugs at the celebration.

Grandma Joanne was delighted to once again have her grandsons and granddaughter together!
