Thanksgiving to Christmas 2012

Thanksgiving was spent with the Price Family, cousin Sharon, and friend Maxine (taking the photo). We were hosted by Dard and Terry to a wonderful buffet at the Robson restaurant and had a most enjoyable celebration together.

We primarily pull weeds, pick up litter, and trim low branches that catch "junk" blowing by. The burnables are then ignited and other items disposed of in our personal garbage cans

This "after photo" shows the effects of our efforts.  Indeed we get a good workout without going to the local SPA for exercise!

Furthermore, as we gather after a clean-up, we have a great time getting to know each other and planning the next "volunteer" adventure.

The December Arizona sunsets have been spectacular!  We currently are working on our back lot and here you see the ornament (and bird feeder) that now adorns our new humming bird garden.  Yes...the birds are quickly finding this new  gourmet beverage center!

Here's a photo of our "work in progress".  We personally know precisely how much effort it takes to move tons of rocks!  We are having the patio and pergola professionally constructed.  Today we finished the irrigation system and of course...moved MORE rocks!  Stay tuned...the project is scheduled to be completed soon!

Friends Jim and Penny stopped by for a visit and were likely surprised that we were getting 50 ton of quarter minus that day!  They definitely were forever more endeared to us by joyfully providing the extra sets of hands to spread the rocks!  We had a great time as we always do when they are around!
Our first guests to ever park on our back lot were friends Dave and Tillie. We enjoyed reminiscing about WSP,  dining on their great cooking (king and queen of barbecued ribs!), and just had an all around great visit!

That sunset photo deserves a prize. Good work!
