The New Year 2011
Our home in the new year has been filled with lots of great company, and we enjoyed a memorable trek to the western side of Arizona.

Robbie came from Oregon to cheer for the UofO in their bid for the football national championship in Glendale. Fortunately we had her for a little over 24 hours here in Arizona City, and look forward to future visits now that she knows the path to our doorway!

We joined other members of the Escapee's Club "Prospectors and Metal Detectors" for the annual outing at Quartzsite, AZ. Here we are visiting a member's former gold claim and learning about the colorful history of this area. For anyone unfamiliar with the January Q event, the population in this little town blossoms from maybe 1500 to almost a million people. We especially look forward to the gathering as we get to see friends that we've met from all over the country in the past 9 years "on the road".

Our group boon docked west of town near Dome Rock. We participated in prospecting outings, shared delicious food, and most of all enjoyed the friendships we TREASURE!

In Yuma we attended the celebration of our friend Ray's life and then returned home. Phyllis, her sister, and Gery joined us for lunch and shared some precious memories.

We love having guests visit in their RV's! Our Canadian friends Les and Susan and Washington friends Ron and Barb have resided a few days in our front parking and bring cheer to a shared meal.

Casa Grande hosted the Gourd Festival this weekend at the fair grounds. We were amazed at the beauty created by many artists from throughout the USA.

4 p.m. happy hours are always fun in our community of friends! Would you have any question about who our friends will cheer for in tomorrow's super bowl? (The fact Rich and his family are from Pennsylvania likely may have some effect!)

Aren't Arizona sunset's exquisite? The vivid peach and pink hues we see tonight never cease to amaze!
