Summer into Fall 2014

Visits with family continued to be highlights of summer
2014.
Melissa’s family visited from Portland. We enjoyed an evening outing to the Union
County Fair in La Grande.

The visit included fun times for my granddaughter Elena to
enjoy her Koza cousins.

Joanne had a trip to Bellevue, WA to have time with Mary’s
family. My Granddaughters took a spin
around the expansive back yard…Hayden enjoyed the “driving lesson” from her
big sis Harlow!

Mary and my granddaughters took me on a cruise across Puget
Sound to Bainbridge Island. Indeed the
Seattle skyline is spectacular!

Visiting niece Teresa (rt) at her new home in Woodinville
was another highlight of the trip.

Granddaughter Jasmine (left), and grandson Justin’s girlfriend Sara (rt) also joined Michelle and me so all four of us were available for overnight
childcare. Yes...Melissa and Mike had a night
out! They enjoyed a concert and spent
the night at the home of good friends.
ALL involved had a fun evening!

| September 2014 has arrived and the Parsons have now headed south for their 2014-15 Adventure. The first stop is to enjoy our hobby of prospecting for gold. We are now about 60 miles out in the mountains of Nevada with our motor home parked in the Rabbit Hole area. |

| So far one car per day has driven down the road. It is so quiet out here! The stars at night are spectacular. A couple wild horses can be seen roaming the nearby-hillsides. So far (3 days) we have found some color in our gold pans BUT nothing to brag about J. BUT…it is fun to play in the dirt! |
