Birthday Bash!

When asking my sister what she wanted for her birthday, the response was "labor"!  Therefore, the last Sat. in June was spent working in her yard with our nephew and his entire family too.  We took  out lots of plantings...two huge trailer loads of 1970's shrubbery.  Her home definitely has more natural light from  the south and western exposures!

Every one of us...including the younger kids...had a great time helping out.  We finished up with a family tradition...an angel food birthday cake.  The icing is a recipe handed down from the days of the USA depression!

Next was Ken's special day!  We enjoyed fishing (with just a little catching) at one of the most beautiful reservoirs in Oregon...Pilcher.  

July 5th brought a fun celebration with family and friends for the youngest great niece.  She is now age 3!
