CO and Homeward Bound!
We enjoyed a fun week with Michelle's family in Cortez. One side trip was to the Mesa Verde National Park...a must see in the SW corner of Colorado. No wonder anthropologists, historians, and geologists are enthralled with this region. The cliff dwellings were fascinating!

Upon heading north through Utah we were in awe every turn of the road. Moab and the geology of the region will definitely bring us back to this area when we have time for more indepth exploration.

Would you believe we are almost in the Northwest? Yes...the freezing weather and snow of SE Idaho as we crossed the Snake River made the reality hit home rapidly! To create even more excitement we experienced another tire separation when driving on I-84 in SE Idaho. We feel very blessed that there was not major damage, we had cellular service, and we eventually were able to find new tires! The greatest problem was the dent in the pocketbook :)!

The evening of March 27th we arrived back at our home in La Grande. The odometer reading indicates we've covered 9,400 miles since last Sept. The grandeur of Mt. Emily right out our front window was a welcome sight!

We are back to "normal"...this included a trip to Thief Valley Reservoir today to experience the thrill of a line dancing across the water as a chubby, colorful Rainbow trout takes a run!
