St. Augustine, FL - We arrived on 11/10 at an RV Park right on the Atlantic. From our motorhome, we can see the waves and there is a deck for us to enjoy for viewing the boats, fishermen, etc. The sand is NOT like west coast sand. In fact it is more like little rocks and billions of shells...very interesting!
The first evening we were treated to a beautiful sunset that stretched across the entire western sky!
On Sunday, Nov. 12, we toured the historic section of this city. Among the places of interest was the Castillo de San Marcos. This location dates to 1565 when the Spanish founded St. Augustine. The history with the British, Indians, Civil War times, etc. was explained. We even watched the Spanish Soldiers (at least wearing their uniforms) shoot off a cannon!

ahhhhh....beautiful pictures....thanks for putting them up....as gary said its raining here....but we do see the sun every 32 hours or so and it gives you hope!!! tata

Winter has come, but still no snow. We will join the Kelleys, and drive to the Elians, for Thanksgiving. Dean's hip problem has become worse, and he's contemplating surgery.
